On the occasion of SKOR's symposium, Social Housing - Housing the Social the members of Chto Delat and Ultra-red and participants of two-day seminar performed a collaborative learning play on the first evening of the symposium, November 2011

"A two-day symposium on November 4 and 5, 2011 that emphasises the relationship between the waning political and practical imperative of social housing and the broader conceptual or philosophical idea of 'housing the social'.
The second edition of Actors, Agents and Attendants, a series of symposia initiated by SKOR | Foundation for Art and Public Domain.
Given the increasing global conditions of unequal wealth distribution, and the specific urgency brought about by cuts in social and cultural funding in the Netherlands, can forms of cultural production be reclaimed as tools with which to design and defend social space, or are the agents and engineers of such projects merely tools in the further decoration of reduced welfare rights? What do we want cities to accommodate today? What is the legacy of the utopian ideals of the '60s and what alternative plans for living together in cities are being incubated now? How do we deal with the very real problems of social division brought about by poverty, migration, addiction, lack of representation? What roles do artists, designers, architects play in this process?"

Goleb is pleased to announce the performance (MTVS) Broadcasting World Citizenship by Lado Darakhvelidze. The performance (which will be the first in a series of ‘connections’ in the build up to his residency and performance at Goleb in February 2012) will take place within a TV-set-up, complete with dancers and a house band. Infostand at Magna Plaza Amsterdam - tactical media research

MA DAILY NEWSPAPER

Three issues of my newspaper project i did in june 2011 in Magna Plaza Center - Amsterdam.

The newspaper consists of short stories and photographies i took from the workers and visitors of the shopping mall Magna Plaza.

I went around there to find out the most interresting and unknown stories about this place...the rather chaotic layout is a homage to our busy time and the speed of nowadays information-flow.by using kind of street and youth languange i explore the possibilities of new radical formats to transport a certain contemporary feeling.The "Ma Daily" concept was to mix up internet - linx with day to day stories.Let's say i created a half virtual situation !

Material : Print A4 paper about 100 copies
Equipment used: Photocamera Canon 550D + Lexmark Home Printer
